Hanger Storage & Logistics Supports Banbury RFC’s Women & Girls’ Growth Initiative
This case study highlights how Hanger Storage & Logistics (HS&L) leveraged its core capabilities and community commitment to enable a crucial development project at Banbury Rugby Football Club (BRUFC), directly supporting the growth of women’s and girls’ rugby.
Banbury RFC, a club experiencing exponential growth in its women’s and girls’ sections, needed funds to upgrade its facilities to meet the specific requirements of its female players. The club had a unique opportunity to ‘earn’ these funds by providing volunteers for the Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) uniform packing and distribution operation.
They also have pallet and container storage for boxed stock and/or VM props. Their delivery driver makes multiple daily trips to BV and can coordinate deliveries to store and collections back to the client’s own POD.
HS&L, a long-term sponsor of Banbury RFC with sister company Jamie Brigs Removals, stepped forward to provide the essential infrastructure needed to execute this high-volume logistical task.
This direct contribution allowed the club to complete its volunteer commitment and secure the necessary funding for its development project.
The funds earned were immediately ringfenced and invested into a high-impact infrastructure project:
The entire sum was dedicated to converting an existing changing room into a dedicated, custom-designed female changing facility, specified and planned by the women’s and girls’ teams themselves.
This is not merely an upgrade; it is a strategic investment supporting the long-term retention and recruitment of female players.
Quote from the Club: “We are thrilled that the women and girls at our club will have a bespoke changing room, planned and delivered by themselves. This is a direct result of the inclusive ethos shared by the club and our partners, Hanger Storage & Logistics.”
— Julie Briggs, Banbury RFC Girls’ Coordinator
The partnership between Hanger Storage & Logistics and Banbury RFC has yielded demonstrable results:
Hanger Storage & Logistics is proud to support the development of facilities that champion inclusion and empower the next generation of female rugby players.

The client has regular deliveries of new stock delivered directly into HS&L’s warehouse.
The HSL team bring the deliveries to the client’s POD and notify them via WhatsAppaboutwhathasarrived. Clients have a personalised key fob to their pod, which allows 24/7 access.
The client sends a team of 2-3 people from their BV store to the warehouse on a daily basis, usually between 12 noon and 4pm. Stock is correctly sorted and/or stored.
The client decides which items should be delivered to the store the following
The client uses their back-office systems to identify which items need to be replenished, this ensures they have the correct stock in store to maximise sales.
The pre-selected stock is successfully delivered into the store by HSL’s dedicated driver.
HS&L’s driver collects the empty crates and any stock (old stock, bad sellers, poor size runs) they want to return to the team working in the client’s storage POD.
The process continues on an ongoing daily basis.
