The journey to becoming a zero-carbon nation by 2050 starts with our responsibility as a business to create initiatives that enable our clients and us to operate more sustainably.
Part of our storage and logistics service is to offer retailers a daily collection of waste plus a dedicated recycling hanger where waste is bailed and palleted before being sent for recycling.
When it comes to travel and fuel usage, we have dedicated electric vans for retail deliveries and are expanding our electric fleet to include an electric 7.5T van. It not only enables us to reduce our carbon emissions but supports our retail clients on this mission too.
In addition, we are working with a retail customer to implement solar panels and help them create the infrastructure to use 100% of green energy.
Building a more sustainable future requires us to go further and continue to explore operational efficiencies that create a positive impact on the environment. That’s why we are taking every step towards making Hanger facilities climate positive, with initiatives such as water harvesting to reduce water consumption, among others.
